Winds will be southwesterly at 25 to 30 knots, easing to 15 to 20 knots in the late morning. Winds decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the early afternoon, with seas at 2 to 3 metres, decreasing to 1 to 2 metres around midday, then decreasing to 1 metre by early evening. Grass sweetlip, cobia, cod, quality snapper and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. Snapper, cobia, pearl perch, tusk fish from Caloundra 12 mile. Snapper, grass sweetlp, moses perch and parrot from Murphy's. Big grass sweetlip and nice keeper snapper around Old Women Island. Snapper and Sweetlip around Brays Rock. Grass sweetlip, cobia, cod, quality snapper and tusk fish from the Barwon Banks. Double island reefs are producing moses perch, amberjack, coral bream, gold spot wrasse, tea leaf trevally, cobia, snapper and some monster tusk fish.
Noosa: Tailor and dart along Teewah Beach.There has been plenty of whiting opposite the Yacht Club and some really good flathead just outside Lake Doonella on the run out tide. We also saw some decent golden trevally around the ski run area, and also up into Lake Cooroibah Luderick in the lower river. Bream around the bridges and rocky areas of the lower river.
Maroochydore: Tailor at the river mouth and along the beaches try at dawn and dusk or over night. Plenty of bream to 35 cm, and a few trevally with better catches over night from the motorway bridge pylons and along Oyster bank road. Good fathead caught through out the river and quality bream from around Goat and Channel Islands.
Mooloolaba: A few good tailor and solid golden trevally in the lower river. Bream and a few luderick around McKenzies Bridge, the rock walls and the Kawana Boat Ramp. Big bream and tailoroff the rocks at Point Cartwright. Gar in the La Balsa sand basin.
Caloundra: The beaches have bream, tailor and jew at dawn and dusk. Luderick, bream, the odd tailor and flathead off the boardwalk. Bream, flathead and whiting along Golden beach. Trevally, cod, the odd tailor and bream in Pelican Waters Canal.
