Wind will be south to southwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots offshore during the morning. Tending northeast to southeasterly in the early afternoon then becoming variable about 10 knots in the evening. Seas will be 1 to 2 metres, decreasing below 1 metre during the afternoon. Yellowtail king fish, trevally and snapper from the Blinker. Spanish mackerel on trolled slimy mackerel between Old Women Island and the Blinker. At Big Hall's reef where there’s been snapper in the 2kg to 2.5kg range and a 17kg cobia taken. On Sunshine Reef, there’s coral trout, snapper, tusk fish, pearl perch and grass sweetlip. A few spotty mackerel and mac tuna off Coolum.
Noosa: There is good quality flathead, a few trevally, the odd tailor at night and bream at the Noosa River mouth. Bream, flathead and trevally in the Woods Bays. Flathead and bream in Weyba Creek. Grunter, mangrove jack and mud crabs along the Tewantin stretch. Whiting and flathead at the mouth of lake Cooroibah.
Maroochydore: Bream and flathead around the Cod Hole. Flathead from Chambers Island, up Petrie Creek and the Bli Bli Island. Quality mangrove jack and school jew in the middle and upper river. Whiting from muller park and twin waters. Whiting from the Bright Water stretch.
Kawana: Whiting and dart from Wurtulla. Grass sweetlip and bream off Point Cartwright. A few golden trevally and a few GT’s in the Kawana Canals. Bream, gar and trevally around the boat moorings and rock walls. Flathead and whiting in the Basin. and bream around the trawler moorings.
Caloundra: Flathead inside the bar on plastics. Whiting from Golden Beach and the mouth of Bells Creek. Trevally and bream off the boardwalk. Jew and bigger bream at night in the deeper hole of the northern passage Mud crabs in Coochin Creek and up the canals. Grass sweetlip and school mackerel from Shelly Beach.
