Offshore

Reasonable conditions, but with a pesky northeasterly 10 to 15 knots and seas below 1 metre. Yesterday, there were snapper to 7.1kg and cobia and jew also to 7kg taken  from The Coffee’s out from Noosa. Also quality snapper at Chardons Reef. There’s been sweetlip, snapper, tuskies and big estuary cod on the Gneerings and off Caloundra. Big cobia, sweetlip and pearl perch on sunshine reef.

Estuaries

Noosa: Bream, whiting to 37cm and trevally around 2kg at the Noosa River mouth. Whiting, bream, flathead and trevally along the Noosaville reach and in Woods Bay, in the Frying Pan and off Munna Point. Jack and flathead in between the lakes. Flathead and bream along the Tewantin reach and a few bream, flathead, estuary cod and moses perch in Weyba Creek. Few mud crabs in the creeks and upper river.

Maroochydore: The herring baitfish are moving through the river again particularly around Chambers Island. Dusky flathead in the lower Maroochy and around Bli Bli. Several trevally to 2kg in the Cod Hole, from Godfrey's Road and Twin Waters Weir. Flathead and jacks and a few chopper tailor showing up in Petrie Creek. Whiting around Goat and Channel Island over night. Mud crabs in the middle and upper river.

Kawana: Still getting big bream still around the moorings. Big flathead, trevally to 2kg and bream 26 to 30cm from McKenzie's bridge area and Minyama Island. Whiting and flathead in sand basin and in Mountain Creek. It's worth targeting mangrove jack in the creeks.

Caloundra: Whiting throughout the northern Passage, with best results over night. Grunter bream along Roys reach, flathead at Bells Creek mouth and entrance to Pelican Waters Canals and mangrove jack around Pelican Waters Bridge.
