Local Fishing Report: Wednesday 23/11/2011

Noosa: Red Emperor to 12.5kg and scarlet sea perch to 7.5kg out from Double Island point. Whiting and flathead to 60cm  from Webya Creek. Trevally to 3kg in Woods bay . A Few Mud crabs in the upper reaches

Maroochydore: Big Schools of herring have been moving throughout the river on the high tide attracting trevally and flathead. Whiting from Chambers Island, Picnic Point and the Black Banks. Good numbers of flathead from the mouth of Eudlo creek, Bli Bli flats and around picnic point.

Kawana: Trevally and bream on surface lures and plastics on the flats above McKenzie’s bridge, late in the afternoon. Morwong, snapper and sweet lip from Murphy’s Reef. Bream, flathead and trevally throughout the lower reaches.  Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Caloundra: Spotty mackerel from Caloundra 12 Mile. Grassy sweetlip and snapper from Caloundra 9 Mile. Trevally and bream in the back ends of Pelican waters canals on surface lures. Whiting and bream along Golden Beach..
