Local Fishing Report: Tuesday 22/11/2011

Noosa: Bream, trevally and school jew along the Tewantin reach and from Double Island point. Chopper tailor and dart from the National park. Whiting and chopper tailor just inside the bar. Trevally on poppers and live bait in the frying pan over night. A Few Mud crabs in the upper reaches

Maroochydore: Big Schools of herring have been moving throughout the river bring along school jew, flathead and giant trevally. Whiting from Chambers Island, Picnic Point and the Black Banks. Good numbers of flathead from the mouth of Eudlo creek, Bli Bli flats and around picnic point on soft plastics.

Kawana: Spanish mackerel, cobia and big grass sweetlip from Coolum Reef. Morwong, snapper and sweet lip from Murphy’s Reef. Whiting, dart and flathead from Kawana beach. Bream, flathead and trevally from La Balsa park.  Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Caloundra: Caloundra 9 Mile has been producing snapper to 6kg, pearl perch and morwong. Trevally and bream in the back ends of Pelican waters canals on surface lures. Whiting along Golden Beach. Flathead on soft plastics near Bells creek and off the boardwalk.
