Local Fishing Report: Tuesday 08/11/2011

Noosa: Snapper, pearl perch and yellowtail king fish out from Double Island point. Mangrove jacks throughout the river with good numbers turning up around the lakes on hard body lures and live bait. Good numbers of trevally around the 60cm mark from Tewantin.  

Maroochydore: Jew and bream off the beach on Maroochy North shore. Mangrove jacks and trevally around Coolum creek. Golden trevally from the Cod hole during the start of the run out tide. A few big flathead have been caught and released from the Cod hole and Maroochy river mouth.

Kawana: Tusk fish, sweetlip and snapper from Murphy’s reef, Inner gneerings and the Blinker. Silver and golden trevally throughout the lower river. Large number of bream throughout the river system. Exceptional catches of whiting and flathead from the Sand Basin, La Balsa park and on the flats above McKenzie’s bridge.

Caloundra: Snapper and sweetlip off the rocks at Kings Beach. Whiting and bream from Golden beach and out from the Power boat club on the incoming tide. Flathead and bream off the boardwalk. Good size mangrove jacks from Bells creek on live bait.
