Noosa: Before the strong SEly’s a 22kg wahoo, a few black king and some big snapper were taken out from Noosa. Big schools of trevally and tailor around the Frying Pan and in Woods Bays at night. Jacks between the lakes and near the Sheraton and up around the lakes. Flathead in Weyba Creek and between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Mangrove jack throughout the Maroochy River. Trevally in the lower reaches and a few tailor on in the evening around the sand bags. Crabs in the canals and the upper reaches. Flathead between Eudlo Creek mouth and Bli Bli.
Kawana: Whiting to 32cm in Kawana Waters canal and from the sand basin near the mouth. Mangrove jacks in Mountain Creek and the upper reaches on live bait at night. Giant and golden trevally along La Balsa and around the boat moorings. Whiting and dart along Kawana Beach.
Caloundra: Jew off the from the rocks at Happy Valley. Whiting, sand crabs and tailor from the bar on the incoming tide. Whiting on the flats just out from the Power boat club. Trevally on soft plastics in Pelican Waters. Some good mangrove jack in the creeks and canals around structures.
Well here is a very happy Tate Keys with a 58cm jack that he caught and released in the upper Maroochy River.
