Noosa: Big flathead have been caught and released throughout the river system. Trevally around the Noosa Marina on soft plastics. Whiting to 37cm from the Frying Pan on poppers and live worms. Dart and whiting from Teewah beach.
Maroochydore: Jew fish and Mangrove jack in the upper reaches on live bait and lures. Bream and whiting on live worms and nippers from Picnic point to Cotton tree. Flathead and trevally up to 2kg from the Bli Bli Bridge on live bait. Crabs in the upper reaches.
Kawana: Snapper and sweetlip from the blinker. Tailor and trevally off the rock walls and point Cartwright during the late afternoon. Yellow fin bream, grunter bream and a few whiting on the flats above McKenzie’s bridge on the outgoing tide.
Caloundra: Snapper from Bray’s rock and Cobia from the 12mile. Flathead and a few Queen fish from the boardwalk on live herring. Good numbers of whiting out from the power boat club on live worms and nippers.
Young Henry Linder and his family spent the morning fishing in Eudlo creek and were rewarded for their effort with these 43 and 63cm Flathead.
