Noosa: Big flathead have been caught and released throughout the river system on soft plastics and live bait along with few Mangrove jacks. Whiting to 37cm from the Frying Pan on poppers and live worms. Dart and whiting from Teewah beach.

Maroochydore: Jew fish and Mangrove jack in the upper reaches on live bait and lures. Bream and whiting on live worms and nippers from Picnic point to Cotton tree. Flathead and trevally from the mouth of Petrie creek on herring during the start of the run out tide. Crabs in the upper reaches.

Kawana: Tailor and trevally off the rock walls and point Cartwright during the late afternoon. Yellow fin bream, grunter bream and a few whiting on the flats above McKenzie’s bridge on the outgoing tide. Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Caloundra: Flathead and a few Queen fish from the boardwalk on live herring. Good numbers of whiting out from the power boat club on live worms and nippers. Mud crabs in the upper reaches of the creeks.

Bruce spent the day fishing at Chambers and caught these two big whiting that measured up to 38cm on live nippers.
