Dart, bream, flathead and tailor have been caught on pilchards and pipis from North shore beach. A few decent mud crabs in the upper reaches.
Maroochydore: Trevally around 1.5kg have been caught on soft plastics and pilchards around the Cod hole. Flathead up to 80cm and several catches in the 60 to 70cm range, have been caught and released from the lower river around the islands and Cotton Tree. Big whiting and bream to 35cm from the entrance of Maroochy waters canals through to the mouth.
Kawana: Sweetlip, coral trout and snapper to 3kg from the Inner Gneerings at night. Trevally, flathead and bream on soft plastics and blades on the top of the tide in the Canal systems. Bream and whiting on surface lures during dawn and dusk on the flats above McKenzie bridge.
Caloundra: Snapper and cobia from Caloundra Twelve Mile. Flathead and chopper tailor from the Boardwalk and off the tip of Bribie. Queenfish and bream in Pelican waters canals. The odd salmon are being caught throughout the passage on live bait and lures.
