Noosa: Whiting and some good flathead from the river mouth, in Woods Bay and in behind the sound. Plenty of giant trevally and the odd jack in Woods Bay, around the Sheraton Bridge and in Weyba Creek. Flathead around 50 to 60cm from the Tewantin Ski run.

Maroochydore: Whiting throughout the river with better catch between Chambers Island and the river mouth on the morning tide using live worms. Tailor, flathead and trevally either side of the motorway bridges.  Flathead at Bli Bli and in north and south channels.  

Kawana: Good bream in the 800gm range around the moorings, and the rock walls as well as a few good whiting and the odd trevally. Dusky flathead to 70cm from the lower Mooloolaba river. Flathead and trevally in the canals and in Mountain Creek.

Caloundra:  A few bigger tailor feeding in the top end of the passage and around the bar and tip of Bribie as well as solid dusky flathead around the drop offs. Flathead and whiting from Golden Beach. Whiting on bait and lure from Golden Beach and Currimundi Lake.   Flathead, school jew and trevally in Pelican Waters canal and south of Bells Creek.

Robert Whiting is back fishing the Maroochy river for another year and started with a good catch of GT’s to 2kg on Wednesday from the Cod Hole.
