Noosa: The windy conditions will keep boats inshore for today with the strong southerly breezes. Whiting to 32 cm and some big flathead from the entrance to the river and in Woods Bay. Plenty of giant trevally and the odd jack in Woods Bay, around the Sheraton Bridge and in Weyba Creek. Flathead around 50 to 60cm from the Tewantin Ski run.
Maroochydore: Yesterday there were good catches of fat whiting in the lower river with the biggest going 39cm in length, as well as schools of just legal chopper tailor in the Cod Hole . Also a few whiting being taken up to 30cm on Hawk surface poppers. Flathead around 60cms at Bli Bli. Golden Trevally and Giant trevally to 1.8kg from the cod hole on the afternoons incoming tide. Good sized dusky flathead in the lower river. Try for mud crabs in the upper reaches.
Kawana: Try for chopper tailor in the lower river and off Pt Cartwright. Good bream in the 800gm range around the moorings, a few good whiting showing up and the odd trevally off the rock wall. Dusky flathead to 70cm from the Mooloolaba rock wall. Getting a few flathead in the canals and in Mountain Creek and mud crabs feeding in the upper reaches.
Caloundra: Good solid dusky flathead around the drop offs in the top end of the Passage. Flathead and whiting from Golden Beach. Solid whiting on bait and lure from Golden Beach and Currimundi Lake. Flathead, school jew and trevally in Pelican Waters canal and south of Bells Creek.

Elisa and Mark were fishing with worms and yabbies in the lower river early Saturday morning when they cleaned up with a few elbow slapper whiting.
