Noosa: With the light winds today it will be a good day to chase a few snapper, cobia and tuna on local reefs or for the big stuff out wide at the Banks. Whiting and some big flathead from the entrance to the river and in Woods Bay. Plenty of giant trevally and the odd jack in Woods Bay, around the Sheraton Bridge and in Weyba Creek. Flathead from the Tewantin Ski run.
Maroochydore: The odd tailor taken from Godfries Road. Good whiting throughout the lower reaches with a few up to 30cm taking little Hawk surface poppers around Chambers Island. Still getting flathead from the Bli Bli flats and the mouth of Petrie Creek. Trevally in the channel off Picnic Point mid making tide yesterday. A bloke released a monster, 1.2m duskie flathead at the river mouth yesterday, it was so big, he thought it was a wobbegong at first sight.
Kawana: Good bream around the moorings, a few good whiting showing up and the odd trevally off the rock wall. Getting a few big flathead around the Mooloolaba Spit area and good size Mud crabs to 1.3kg from the upper reaches.
Caloundra: There’s plenty of snapper on all local reef as well as tuna and school mackerel on trolled pillies and few grass sweetlip on the bottom at sun rise on the 5 mile. Flathead and whiting from Golden Beach. Good numbers of summer whiting up to 38cm from Currimundi Lake. Flathead off the Boardwalk. Flathead south of Bells and the odd trevally in Pelican Waters canal.

It’s good to see a few sand crabs in the Maroochy River Phill potted this 18cm one around Chambers Island.
