Noosa: The odd long tail tuna from the North Reef area. Good numbers of big flathead in the lower reaches along with a good run of whiting to 500g. Still getting the trevally in the Woods Bays area along with the odd flathead on soft plastics. Starting to see some good crabs coming through as well.
Maroochydore: Over the past two days there has been good numbers of sweetlip showing on the close reefs. A few tailor to 1kg taken off the sand bags around the river mouth this morning. Good numbers of quality whiting to 400g are moving around the Picnic Point area. Quite a few trevally and golden trevally moving around the entrances to the creeks on the outgoing tide.
Kawana: Some good Sweetlip coming from the close reefs off Pt Cartwright. There’s a few nice elbow slapper whiting are showing up on the local beaches with some tarwhine mixed in with them. A few Jew are being caught off the rock wall on the high tide at night.
Caloundra: Some quality whiting, flathead and the odd dart around the local beaches. Getting tailor at the entrance to the passage on the outgoing tide on pillies. Still getting good numbers of flathead and the odd trevally off the board walk. Getting good mud crabs in the upper reaches.
