Kawana: There’s been snapper and sweetlip on the Outer Gneerings and school mackerel offshore from Alexandra Headland, on Currimundi and Coolum Reefs. There’s a few nice elbow slapper whiting are showing up on the local beaches with some tarwhine mixed in with them. Nice trevally and tailor from the rock walls on the high tide. Flathead and whiting around McKenzie’s Bridge. There has also been some nice mud crabs coming from the upper reaches.

Caloundra: Good size whiting are in the gutters around golden beach on the outgoing tide. Also a few big flathead are being caught and released in the top end of the passage on soft plastics and live bait. Around the Boardwalk they are getting a mixed bag of flathead, trevally, the odd queenfish and tailor.
