Noosa: The tailor are still around the cut ins along the beach on pillies. Getting some good size bream from the entrance to the river over the past two days. Trevally are still around the Woods Bays area and a 5kg flathead was caught in the Woods Bays as well and with the warmer water temps a few mangrove jacks are showing up.
Maroochydore: Bream, Dart and good size whiting along the Mudjimba beach in the deeper cutters on worms and pipis. Good numbers of trevally and the odd tailor at the entrance of Petrie Creek on soft plastics and the trevally are still chasing the herring around Chambers Island and the Cod Hole.
Kawana: nice elbow slapper whiting are showing up on the local beaches with some tarwhine mixed in with them. Nice trevally and tailor from the rock walls on the high tide. Flathead and whiting around McKenzie’s Bridge. There has also been some nice mud crabs coming from the upper reaches.
Caloundra: Good size whiting are in the gutters around golden beach on the outgoing. tide Big flathead to 80cm are being taken from the entrance to the passage on soft plastics and live bait and from the board walk they are getting a mixed bag of flathead, trevally queenfish and tailor which is keeping the anglers busy.
