Local Fishing Report: Wednesday 10/08/2011

Noosa: Flathead, bream and whiting from the mouth on high tide. Tailor, trevally around the 50cm mark and tarpon in the Woods Bays. Flathead and bream in Weyba creek and the odd flathead in Woods Bay as well. Luderick still feeding around the car park rocks at the river mouth.

Maroochydore: Jew in the cod hole and upper reaches to 86cm. Chopper tailor and trevally to 1.8kg in the Cod Hole. Trevally, chopper tailor, Flathead to 60cm in the south channel. Plenty of bream around even up to 1kg from the Twin Waters weir on the outgoing tide.

Kawana: Snapper and the odd spotty from outer gneerings. Jew taken off the rock walls at night on the high tide. Trevally in Kawana Waters, along La Balsa wall at the top of the tide and from McKenzie’s bridge. Quality bream around the boat moorings at night and also opposite the la balsa park boat ramp.

Caloundra: Snapper and Spanish mackerel from Caloundra 12 mile. Bream, trevally and chopper tailor on soft plastics in Pelican waters. A jew up to 7kg was boated in the deeper channel south of Bells Creek.

Sky went fishing with her dad Keven and landed a 28cm whiting off Chambers Island.
