Local Fishing Report: Sunday 24/7/2011

Noosa: Dart and tailor between the first and third cuttings and a few tailor off the rocks in the NP. Flathead, bream and whiting from the mouth on high tide. Tailor, and heaps of trevally around the 50cm mark in the Woods Bays. Flathead in Lake Cooroibah and the bar. Luderick in the lower river off the car park rocks.

Maroochydore: There’s good catches of trevally to 3.5kg, chopper tailor as well as an 85cm jew taken in the Cod Hole on the morning incoming tide, there are also flathead to 73cm from the in the same area. Trevally, chopper tailor, Flathead to 60cm at Wharf St pier on pillies . Flathead throughout the river. Bream, a golden trevally to63cm and a few whiting from the mouth of Petrie Creek.

Kawana: Snapper and sweetlip off Pt Cartwright. Jew taken off the rock walls at night on the high tide. Trevally in Kawana Water, along LaBalsa wall at the top of the tide and from McKenzies bridge. Trevally and tailor along the rock walls at high tide. Quality bream around the boat moorings at night and also opposite the la balsa park boat ramp.

Caloundra:  Bream, trevally to 2kg and chopper tailor on soft plastics in Pelican waters. Bream and fatluderick off the boardwalk.  Jew in the deeper channel south of Bells Creek. Chopper tailor and the odd one to 2kg off the north east tip of Bribie Island.
