Noosa: Snapper, sweetlip and the odd parrot from Sunshine Reef late in the afternoon. Bream from the deeper channel just inside the mouth. Trevally and decent tailor from Woods bay on lures and in Noosa Waters. Flathead and whiting in the frying pan.

Maroochydore: Snapper, trag jew, parrot and morwong from the Barwon Banks. Bream from Yinni Street and the river mouth to 35cm. Chopper tailor throughout the river on hard body lures and live herring. Luderick and bream from the Cod Hole on the incoming tide. School Jew in the upper reaches on live bait.

Kawana: Grass sweetlip, snapper and moses perch from the 12 mile. Snapper and cobia to 8kg from Murphy’s Reef. Bream and hairtail around the trawlers and boat moorings at night. Chopper tailor, trevally and bream to 40cm from the rock walls. Gar and trevally from the Kawana boat ramp pontoon.

Caloundra:  Trevally and tailor just inside the bar on the making tide. Plenty of average sized flathead scattered throughout the river. Bream and trevally on soft plastics in Pelican waters canals. Whiting from the mouth of Bells creek. Luderick off the boardwalk.

Bailey Rowe was fishing out at Murphy’s when he hooked the thumping 8kg Cobia.
