Noosa: Tailor, bream and whiting out from Teewah. Dart, bream and Tailor from Sunshine Beach. Good size bream in the deeper holes throughout the river. Trevally and decent tailor from Woods bay on lures. School Jew from Tewantin. Worth a try for luderick off the rocks at the river mouth.

Maroochydore: Trevally up to 60cm have been caught on trolled lures between the Cod Hole and Petrie creek. Flathead between the Jet ski area and Godfrey’s road ranging up to 60cm. Whiting, bream and tailor out from Mudjimba beach. Big bream from the Cod Hole.

Kawana: Whiting from Kawana beach at low tide. Chopper tailor and jew from the rock walls early morning. Dart from the rocks at Point Cartwright. Gar and Hairtail in the lower reaches. Flathead from the banks above McKenzie’s bridge on soft plastics.

Caloundra:  Snapper and sweetlip from the rocks at Kings beach. Golden trevally from the lower reaches on the incoming tide. Flathead from Happy Valley. Bream around 700g from the blue hole. Tarpon and Jew in the canals. Luderick off the boardwalk.

The flathead have been in good numbers throughout the river with Bli Bli and Chambers Island being the better spots as Lee Harrison found out with this 56cm flathead.
