Noosa: Snapper and Trag jew on North reef. Grass sweetlip and snapper on Sunshine reef. Tailor, dart and the odd Jew from Noosa north shore. Flathead between 50-60cm from Tewantin. Trevally up to 2kg in Woods bay. Plenty of bream from 25-30cm throughout the river.
Maroochydore: Moses Perch, dart and snapper from the eastern side of Old Woman Island. Whiting, school Jew and tailor from the surf around Yaroomba. Tailor between 35-40cm from the mouth on high tide. Flathead around 60cm from Petrie creek. Bream up to 42cm from the Cod hole overnight.
Kawana: Snapper and red throat at the Barwon banks. Sweetlip and snapper on the Gneerings. Gar in the basin. Bream, dart and Jew along Kawana beach and tailor from the southern side of Point Cartwright. Tailor and jew along the rock walls. Whiting in the lower reaches.
Caloundra: Snapper averaging 3kg from the 12 mile. Snapper and sweetlip from Caloundra 5 mile. Whiting out from Golden beach. Flathead from the mouth of Bells creek and a few trevally in the canals. Bream to 1kg and a few luderick off the boardwalk.
Soft plastics have been working well for school jew and Gavin Halsey caught this one in the upper reaches.
