Noosa: Snapper, jewfish and yellow tail kingfish from North Reef. Whiting, tailor and dart from Noosa north shore. Jew up to 80cm and decent bream near Tewantin. Golden Trevally and flathead from Weyba creek. Trevally and flathead from Woods Bay on soft plastics. Whiting and tailor from the mouth.

 

Maroochydore: Snapper and grassy sweetlip on the gneerings during dawn and dusk. Whiting, school jew and tailor from the surf around Yaroomba. Tailor on trolled lures from the mouth to the Cod hole on the incoming tide.  Trevally up to 2.2kg from the Cod Hole through to Chambers Island during the last of the incoming tide.


Kawana: Snapper and Moses perch from Murphy’s reef. Tuskfish, red throat and the odd Spanish mackerel on the outer gneerings. Gar in the basin. Bream to 1kg from the rock walls on soft plastics and prawns. Jew from the rock walls at night on the top of the tide.


Caloundra: Snapper around the coffee rock from the NE tip of Bribie. Trevally and chopper tailor in the canals. Luderick along the boardwalk and  Bream over 1kg from Happy Valley. Dart, chopper tailor and flathead in the surf at Currimundi.

Dave-flathead-mudjimba

The beaches have been fishing well with early westerlies and Dave caught this 60cm flathead from Yaroomba.
