Noosa: Snapper, tuskfish, trag jew and coral trout from Chardon’s reef. Dart, tailor to 2.5kg and school jew from the gutters north of Teewah. A few whiting from the Frying Pan on live worms. Trevally and tailor from Woods bay on plastics and around the river mouth. Munna point has had a few Jew and trevally on trolled lures.
Maroochydore: Trevally and tailor up to 1.5kg on trolled lures from the Cod Hole. Trevally up to 1.5kgcm on soft plastics around Channel Island. Flathead between 60cm and 70cm from the Bli Bli markers. Bream and flathead from the southern channel. Large numbers of bream to 35cm from the Bli Bli bridge at night.
Kawana: Spangled emperor, Spanish mackerel, snapper and trag jew from the Inner Gneerings and the Outer Gneerings. Snapper to 6kg from the Barwon Banks. Bream over 1kg around the trawlers. Still plenty garfish moving through in big numbers around the sand basin on fresh prawns.
Caloundra: Snapper from Caloundra 7mile and the 12 mile. Snapper and sweetlip around the coffee rock off the northern end of Bribie island. Trevally, bream and the odd flathead in the Canals. Flathead and bream from Military jetty at night. Jewfish and bream from the blue hole on live bait.
Carey, Di and Chris went fishing out at the Barwon Banks and caught this nice feed of snapper with the biggest going at 6kg
