Noosa: Snapper, tuskfish, trag jew and coral trout from Chardon’s reef. Dart, tailor to 2.5kg and school jew from the gutters north of Teewah. Bream from the snags just inside the mouth. Trevally and tailor from Woods bay on plastics and around the river mouth. Munna point has had a few Jew and trevally on trolled lures.
Maroochydore: Trevally and tailor up to 1.5kg on trolled lures from the Cod Hole. Flathead, dart and tailor from Mudjimba beach. Flathead between 60cm and 70cm from the Bli Bli markers. Bream and flathead from the southern channel. Bream from the mouth of the canals on prawns.
Kawana: Still the odd Spaniard from the Outer Gneerings. Spangled emperor to 5kg and snapper around 2kg from Murphy’s reef. Bream over 1kg around the trawlers. Decent trevally and tailor from the lower reaches out to the mouth. Still plenty garfish moving through in big numbers around the sand basin on fresh prawns.
Caloundra: Snapper from Caloundra 7mile. Snapper and sweetlip around the coffee rock off the northern end of Bribie island. Whiting from the Power boat club. Flathead and bream from Military jetty at night. Jewfish and bream from the blue hole on live bait.
