Noosa: Grassy sweetlip, snapper, Moses perch and tusk fish on North reef and the odd Spanish mackerel on the northern end of north reef . Bream, flathead and the odd at the entrance to Weyba creek . Trevally and tailor from Woods bay on plastics and around the river mouth Tailor, dart and bream from Noosa National Park on slugs and pilchards.
Maroochydore: Giant trevally up to 3.6kg, pan sized flathead and schools of big eye trevally at the Cod Hole. Whiting, chopper tailor, dart and flathead from Mudjimba beach. Flathead throughout the river on soft plastics up to 85cm. Jew fish around the 90cm mark at the cod hole and in the upper reaches at night on soft plastics and live bait. Mud crabs in the creeks.
Kawana: Red throat, snapper and the odd Coral trout from the Outer Gneerings, Inner Gneerings and Murphy’s. Small napper and grassy sweetlip on Currimundi reef. Bream, dart and tailor from Warana beach. Still plenty garfish moving through in big numbers around the sand basin on fresh prawns. Bream, trevally and the odd hair tail of the rock walls at night.
Caloundra: Sweetlip and squire from Currimundi reef. Snapper and sweetlip around the coffee rock of the northern end of Bribie Island. Whiting around the boat in Bells Creek on live nippers. Dart and tailor from Currimundi beach. Jewfish and bream from the Blue Hole on live bait.
