Noosa: Grassy sweetlip, snapper, Moses perch and tusk fish on North reef. Whiting and bream along the Tewantin reach and from the frying Pan on the outgoing tide. Trevally and tailor from Woods bay on plastics. Tailor, dart and bream from Noosa national park on slugs and pilchards.

Maroochydore: Giant trevally up to 3.6kg and schools of big eye trevally averaging 1kg from the Cod Hole. Whiting, chopper tailor, dart and flathead from Mudjimba beach. Flathead throughout the river on soft plastics up to 85cm. Jew fish around the 90cm mark at the cod hole and in the upper reaches at night on soft plastics and live bait.  

Kawana: Red throat, snapper and the odd Coral trout from the outer Gneerings, Inner Gneerings and Murphy’s. Bream, dart and tailor from Warana beach. Still plenty garfish moving through in big numbers around the sand basin on fresh prawns. Bream, trevally and the odd hair tail of the rock walls at night.

Caloundra: Sweetlip and squire from Currimundi reef. Whiting around the boat in Bells Creek on live nippers. Dart and tailor from Currimundi beach. Jewfish and bream from the blue hole on live bait. Good pan size Flathead schooling up around the pelican banks.

Danny spent the day fishing the upper reaches of the Maroochy River where he caught this hard fighting 4kg Jew fish.
