Noosa: Long tail tuna and the odd spotty from Laguna Bay. Whiting from the southern entrance to Lake Cooroibah. Whiting, dart, tarwhine and tailor from the gutters along Noosa north shore. Mud crabs between the lakes.

Maroochydore: Bream up to 850g from Mudjimba beach. Whiting, dart and flathead up to 66cm from the sandbags. Godfrey’s road has had trevally, jew and flathead. Still the odd jack in Eudlo creek. Trevally from the cod hole on soft plastics.            

 

Kawana: Red throat, tuskfish and Moses perch from the Barwon banks. Sweetlip and snapper from Murphy’s. Plenty of gar in the sand basin. Tailor from the rocks at Point Cartwright and also from the beaches. Hairtail up to 1m from the lower reaches at night.

 

Caloundra: Sweetlip and cobia from Currimundi reef and parrot and cod from the 5 mile. Dart and whiting from Currimundi beach. Flathead from the boardwalk. Trevally, tarpon and tailor from the entrance to the canals.

Sharky went on a recent trip to the Boyne river and caught his biggest barra to date weighing 24kg.
