Local Fishing Report: Friday 13/05/2011

Noosa: Sweetlip and Moses perch from Sunshine reef Yesterday. Tusk fish, Moses perch and snapper from Chardon’s reef. Dart, bream and whiting along Teewah. Some big bream are starting to show up around the pontoons on soft plastics. Whiting from Noosaville. Mud crabs between the lakes.

Maroochydore: Parrot, pearl perch, grass sweetlip and snapper to 2kg from the Inner Gneerings. Flathead up to 65cm from Mudjimba beach. Bream around 600g and Moses perch to 30cm from the Cod hole at night. Whiting up to 37cm from the black banks on live worms. Mud crabs above Bli Bli bridge.  

Kawana: Snapper, trevally, kingfish and cobia from the 12 mile. Dart, chopper tailor and whiting along Warana beach. Tailor and trevally at dusk from Point Cartwright rocks on pilchards and metal slugs. Hair tail, estuary cod and bream to 1.2  at night in the lower reaches. Sand crabs at the spit.

Caloundra: A few spotty mackerel still around Currimundi reef. Small snapper from the rocks at Kings beach. Tailor and bream from Currimundi beach on the incoming tide on pilchards. Whiting just inside the bar and out from the power boat club on nippers. Banana prawns have been caught from the passage.

Mitch, Mali and Joe fished from Chambers Island and were rewarded with this 1.2kg flathead and some nice bream.
