Noosa: Tusk fish, moses perch and snapper from Chardon’s reef. Plenty of dart and a few tailor from Teewah. Some big bream are starting to show up around the pontoons on soft plastics.  Jew and flathead from the deeper holes along Tewantin. Trevally and some big flathead in Woods Bay. Mud crabs between the lakes.

Maroochydore: Spanish mackerel, parrot, pearl perch and grass sweetlip from Murphy’s Reef. Bream, grunter, whiting and flathead from the Cod hole on live prawns. Large flathead around the mouth and Petrie creek. Whiting up to 35cm from Picnic point at night . Mud crabs above Bli Bli bridge.  

Kawana: Snapper, trevally and cobia from the 12 mile. Yellowtail kingfish to 10kg from Caloundra 12 mile reef. Dart and whiting along Warana beach. Tailor and trevally at dusk from Point Cartwright rocks. Hair tail have been caught at night in the lower reaches. Sand crabs at the spit.

Caloundra: Small snapper from the rocks at Kings beach. Tailor and bream from Currimundi beach on the incoming tide on pilchards. Whiting just inside the bar and out from the power boat club on nippers. School jew, trevally and tarpon in Pelican waters canal on live bait and soft plastics. Banana prawns have been caught from the passage.

Reuban Lehman was fishing out a Murphy’s reef when he hooked this 15kg Spanish mackerel.
