Noosa: Longtail tuna and a few spotty mackerel in the Bay. Plenty of dart and bream throughout the National Park on metal slugs, small flies and pilchards. Chopper tailor from the Frying Pan. Trevally and some big flathead in Woods Bay. Mud crabs between the lakes.
Maroochydore: Whiting and flathead from the Black banks on live herring and sand worms. Trevally to 2.5kg from the Cod hole on live herring. Grunter bream from the Bli Bli bridge on live prawns on the outgoing tide . Mud crabs above Bli Bli bridge.
Kawana: Pearl perch, parrot and snapper to 8kg from the Banks. Dart and whiting along Warana beach. Tailor have been taken on pilchards from Point Cartwright rocks during the late afternoon. Grunter bream and whiting around McKenzie’s bridge on the outgoing tide. Sand crabs at the spit.
Caloundra: Whiting and bream on live yabbies and sand worms out from the Power boat club. Chopper tailor and whiting from the river mouth on the incoming tide. School jew in Pelican waters canal. Golden trevally and bream along the boardwalk . Mud cabs around the creeks. Madison Lachman spent the morning fishing with her dad at the black banks and caught a nice feed of whiting with the largest being this 34cm specimen.
