Noosa: Pearl Perch to 4.5kg and parrot out from Double Island. Spanish Mackerel on Chardon’s reef. Whiting, bream and flathead around the Double Island rocks. Flathead and whiting from the mouth to the Frying Pan. Mangrove Jack in the back of the sound at night. Mud crabs between the lakes.

Maroochydore: Sweetlip, Moses perch and Maori Cod from the Inner Gneerings. Whiting and Dart from Mudjimba beach. Big eye trevally from the cod hole on high tide. Bream and Flathead around Chambers Island. Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Kawana: Coral trout, pearl perch, Moses perch and sweetlip from the Blinker. Cobia from Murphy’s. Bream and trevally from the boat moorings and Kawana boat ramp at night. Mangrove jack and flathead from the weir on live bait at night. Sand crabs in the lower reaches.

Caloundra: Sailfish on Caloundra 8 mile. Pearl Perch and Snapper at Caloundra Wide. Whiting from Golden beach. Trevally and flathead from the Blue hole on live bait. Mud cabs around the upper reaches.

Brice Carstance was working a small popper lure in the mangroves near the cod hole when this solid whiting smashed it and put up a good fight on light tackle.
