Maroochydore: Cod, spotty mackerel and sweetlip from Murphy’s Reef. Trevally, tailor to 1kg and flathead from the mouth of Eudlo Creek. Bream from the motorway bridge. A 2.2kg mangrove jack from Minti Street. Mud crabs above Bli Bli bridge.
Kawana: Grass sweetlip from Point Cartwright. Spotties from the Kawana shark nets. Dart, bream and whiting from Kawana beach at low tide. Tailor and bream from Point Cartwright. Bream and cod around the trawlers. Mud crabs in the canals and upper reaches.
Caloundra: Sweetlip and Parrot from Currimundi reef. Mangrove Jack and grunter bream from Bells Creek. Dart, whiting and the odd tailor from Moffat beach and Happy Valley. Mangrove Jacks and queenfish at the mouth of the canals. Mud crabs in the deeper holes.
