Noosa: Mackerel, cobia and long tail tuna around Sunshine Reef and the Bay. Mangrove jacks, trevally and tailor from Weyba creek and in Woods Bays. Morwong and quality bream near the Sheraton. Mud crabs in the canals and upper reaches.
Maroochydore: Mackerel and a few grassy sweetlip around Old Woman island. Parrot to 4.6kg and a few spangled emperor from the blinker. Tailor, flathead, bream and trevally from the Cod hole on the high tide. Large flathead and bream from Picnic point. There are still plenty of Mud crabs in the middle reaches.
Kawana: Red emperor, parrot and grassy sweetlip to 4.5kg at Murphy’s Reef. Grass Sweetlip and bream from Point Cartwright. Trevally from the rock walls and in the back end of the canals on poppers during dawn and dusk. Mud crabs in the canals and upper reaches.
Caloundra: Cobia and Spanish mackerel from Caloundra 12 Mile. Dart, whiting and the odd tailor from Moffat beach and Happy Valley. Whiting from the mouth through to the Power boat club on live nippers. Trevally and some solid bream have been caught in the canals. Mud crabs in the deeper holes.
Alan and Albert from the Maroochy RSL Fishing Club went to Currimundi and came home with a feed of Spotty Mackerel.
