Noosa: Yellow tail tuna in the bay. Mangrove jacks and trevally in Woods bay and between the lakes on lure and live bait. Tailor to 3.5kg, bream and big flathead around the mouth. Whiting, dart and tailor from Teewah and Noosa North shore.

Maroochydore:  Good numbers of quality grunter in Petrie Creek, Eudlo Creek and Bli Bli bridge area. Flathead and whiting around Goat Island and Channel Island on the making tide. Bream, flathead and the odd Jewfish from Godfrey’s road.  Mud crabs in the upper reaches.

Kawana: Bream, tarwhine and whiting along Kawana beach. Good quality catches of bream just south of Point Cartwright. Trevally from Kawana boat ramp and the rock walls. Bream and cod around the trawlers. Mud crabs in the canals and upper reaches.

Caloundra: Dart, whiting and the odd tailor from Moffat beach and Happy Valley  during the early morning. Mangrove jacks, tarpon, queenfish and trevally in Pelican waters canals on soft plastics. Whiting on live worms from the Power boat club.

Local Postie and skilled spear fisherman Dave caught this tasty flathead while spear fishing from Mudjimba beach.
