Noosa: Spanish mackerel and spotty mackerel from Chardon’s and Sunshine Reef. Tarpon and mangrove jack up 3.5kg from Woods bay on Gladiator prawn lures. Bream, whiting and the occasional flathead around the river mouth and Munna point.
Maroochydore: Grunter bream and the odd blubber lip bream up Petrie Creek and Bli Bli. Bream and whiting from the chambers island bridge on live worms. Large flathead between Goat island and the river mouth. Mud crabs in the upper reaches.
Kawana: Mosses perch and spangled emperor from Murphy’s reef and the Inner Gneerings during the early morning. Mangrove Jack from the upper reaches, the canals and Mountain Creek. Dart, whiting, bream and a few tarwhine from Kawana beach.
Caloundra: Sweetlip and Parrot from Caloundra 12 and 5 mile. Grunter bream from Kings beach. Quality whiting from Moffats beach on live worms . Bream, queenfish and flathead from the Boardwalk and in the canal system.
