Noosa: Tailor along Teewah and form the national park on the high tide over night. Trevally in Noosa Sound, Woods Bay and under Munna Point bridge. Flathead in the frying pan and in Weyba Creek. Mangrove jack in the canals and the 1st ski run.
Maroochydore: Whiting on poppers in the lower reaches up to 36cm. Flathead between 55 and 69cm on pilchards around the top end of Channel Island. Giant trevally to 2kg on live bait in the middle reaches of the river around high tide. Bream to 35cm downstream from the motorway bridge.
Mooloolaba: School mackerel and sweetlip to 3kg from point Cartwright. Bream and trevally along the LaBalsa stretch. Golden trevally up to 4kg between the Kawana boat ramp and Minyama Island on the top of the tide. Mangrove jack and bream in the Kawana Canals. Dart along Wurtulla Beach.
Caloundra: Sand crabs throughout the channels at the Caloundra end of the passage. Mangrove jack in Coochin creek and the canals. Flathead and estuary cod from the boardwalk. Whiting along Golden Beach and the stretch between Bells and Coochin Creek.

Dan was fishing with live bait in the middle reaches of the Maroochy River on Saturday night when he hooked this 80cm jew.
