Noosa: Bream and whiting in the frying pan. Big dusky flathead and few tarwhine along north shore. Flathead, cod and bream in Weyba creek. Mud crabs in between the lakes, along Noosaville and in Noosa Waters canal.
Maroochydore: Quality whiting between Eudlo Creek mouth and Bli Bli bridge. Flathead to 50cm from Picnic Point. Mud crabs between the cod hole and Bli Bli in the deeper channel. Grunter bream from the mouth of Eudlo and Petrie Creeks on green prawn.
Kawana: Dart and whiting in the surf between Kawana and Wurtulla. Big bream around the boat moorings. A few whiting off the beach at Mooloolaba spit. Mud crabs in all the canals and around McKenzie’s bridge.
Caloundra: Flathead, bream and whiting in Currimundi Lake. Mud crabs throughout the passage. A few bream, flathead and grunter from the boardwalk. Jacks in Bells Creek.
Blake Swanepoel was fishing in the middle reaches of the Noosa River when he hooked this 60cm dusky flathead and had a ball on 4lb line.
