Noosa: Whiting on live prawns around Gympie terrace and in the frying pan. Mangrove jack, barra and tarpon in Woods Bay. Jacks along Tewantin Reach. Bream, flathead and whiting in Weyba Creek. Mud crabs between the lakes.

Maroochydore: Mangrove jack, jewfish and trevally around Coolum creek on soft plastics and live bait. Golden trevally, flathead and bream from Petrie creek mouth through to the Bli Bli bridge. Flathead and whiting from Cotton Tree. Mud crabs from the Bli Bli Islands and just above the motorway bridge.

Kawana: Good numbers of tuna in the bay at Mooloolaba. Trevally and bream from La Balsa Park and a few golden trevally from the Mooloolaba boat ramp pontoon. Flathead, grunter, bream and whiting around McKenzie’s Bridge area. Mud crab in the canals and above Bright water reach.

Caloundra: Good numbers of whiting and flathead from Currimundi Lake. Bream between the bar and Bells Creek in the deeper channels. Giant and big eyed trevally in Pelican Waters canal on high tide. Flathead from Military jetty. Good numbers of flathead throughout the passage on bait and lures. Mud crabs in the creeks.

Peter Baitey was fishing up Eudlo Creek using a strip bait of mullet when he caught this 45cm rock cod.
