Noosa: Spotty mackerel, squire and sweetlip from North Reef. Whiting in the frying pan and Woods bays. Trevally in Woods Bay and the back of the Sound. Flathead, dart, tarwhine and whiting along North Shore. Mud crabs throughout the upper reaches. Bass and yellow belly in Lake McDonald.
Maroochydore: Whiting and grunter bream between the motorway bridge and Bli Bli bridge. Whiting to 30cm and the odd flathead from Chambers Island during the late afternoon run in tide. Plenty of mud crabs throughout the river system.
Kawana: Yellow fin tuna to 13.2kg and potty mackerel from the Blinker and Murphy’s. Grass Sweetlip, coronation cod, and snapper from the Barwon Banks. Bream and flathead around the boat moorings during the incoming tide. Mud crabs throughout the river system.
Caloundra: Spotty mackerel and sweetlip from Currimundi Reef. Flathead on soft plastics and trolled hard bodies from the edges of the weed banks around Bells Creek . Whiting along Golden Beach and from the mouth of Bells creek. Mud crabs throughout the passage and in the creeks in good numbers.
Jess Ballard caught a nice feed of whiting on fresh prawns while fishing from Chambers Island.
