10kg wahoo and 8kg mahi banks

The crews on Top Catch Charters have been doing well offshore, have a look at these wahoo and mahi mahi from the Banks.

Local Fishing Report: Saturday 2015-12-19

Offshore

Conditions will be okay with a bit of chop as winds will be southeasterly 10 to 15 knots turning easterly in the late morning and seas around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore north of Maroochydore during the morning.  There were a couple of quality jew taken at North Reef. They went for live slimey mackerel and whole squid baits, also couple of good pearl perch taken on a Trekka 2 charter to North Reef. Quality jew or mulloway on a Cougar One charter to Chardon's Reef. Top catch Charters report good catches on The Barwon Banks, Murphy’s reef and the Gneerings, with the banks has been reliable as always especially for the pelagic species like mahi mahi, wahoo and some little yellow fin and blue fin tuna. The bottom fished well for red throat emperor, maori cod, moses perch, fusilier, amberjack, spangled emperor, squire, tusk fish and the odd big cod. In closer we have been getting squire, tusk fish, moses perch, hussar, coral trout, sweetlip, maori cod and spotted mackerel.
