Fishing Report September 8 2008
Noosa: Try for whiting in the lower reaches and the last of the luderick run around the rock walls. Schoolie flathead in Weyba Creek and throughout the lakes. Chopper tailor, dart and a few whiting up Teewah Beach. Good golden trevally in Woods Bay. Bream and flathead in the lower river system.
Maroochydore: Jew and good flathead near the sand bags in the river mouth. A few grunter bream on the move in the dirty water after the rain and flathead throughout the river on soft plastics and small baitfish. Also a few good whiting from Bli Bli and Twin Waters.
Mooloolaba: Bream and a few grunter along La Balsa Park rock walls. Whiting from the beach in the bay at Mooloolaba. Mac tuna and school mackerel in the bay.
Caloundra: School mackerel and snapper at Caloundra 12 Mile. Big flathead throughout the passage, better quality fish in the blue hole and around the bar. Trevally around Pelican Waters canals. Grunter at the mouth of Bell’s Creek.
