Fishing Report September 3 2008
Noosa: Small yellow tail king fish and a few quality bream from the National Park. Flathead and trevally around Munna Bridge. Flathead throughout the lower reaches and a few whiting in the river mouth.
Maroochydore: Blue parrot to 2.5kg and snapper up to 4.5kg on 5” gulps at Murphys reef. School jew in the deeper channels on soft plastics. Flathead from the cod hole and along the bli bli stretch.
Mooloolaba: Bream to 800g from the Kawana Boat ramp. Bream off the rock walls and moorings. Whiting from the beach in the bay at Mooloolaba. A few golden trevally from McKenzies bridge area on the high tide.
Caloundra: Quality whiting, grunter and flathead along the W’s stretch of the passage. Good quality bream off the boardwalk. Big flathead and average bream in the blue hole.
Jennifer had a day out on a pontoon boat fishing under the Maroochy Motorway bridge and scored a 50cm dusky flathead for her efforts. |
